Jamie Loggins, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon with over 15 years of experience, having successfully performed more than 4,000 bariatric surgeries. He is recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery techniques, specializing in procedures such as gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and revisional surgeries. Dr. Loggins is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), underscoring his commitment to excellence in patient care and surgical innovation.

Dr. Loggins received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, followed by a general surgery residency at Marshfield Clinic/St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wisconsin, where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, gaining extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic procedures.

Throughout his career, Dr. Loggins has served as Medical Director of Mission Weight Management in Asheville, North Carolina, where he led a high-volume, multi-surgeon bariatric surgery program. He has held leadership roles, including Chief of Surgery at Central Maine Medical Center, where he developed a comprehensive bariatric program. His experience in bariatric surgery accreditation has also made him a trusted site surveyor for the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).

What drew Dr. Loggins to medicine was the demanding skill set required and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients. He views healthcare as a partnership, where open communication is essential to a patient’s journey. Dr. Loggins is known for his direct, transparent communication style, which his patients greatly appreciate.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Loggins is an avid triathlete, having completed three Ironman competitions. He also enjoys spending time with his family, including his dogs, and is a Christmas lighting enthusiast, reflecting his vibrant personality and love for bringing joy to others.

Aimee Ying Zhang, MD, is a dedicated physician with a passion for improving the lives of her patients. Dr. Zhang is a fellowship trained bariatric surgeon as well as a board-certified general surgeon. Her fellowship training allows her to specialize in minimally invasive bariatric surgery, and is fully trained and certified in the use of the Da Vinci robotic surgery system.

Dr. Zhang is dedicated to patient-centered care and shared decision-making, working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and preferences. With meticulous attention to detail and a focus on precise technique, Dr. Zhang ensures that every aspect of care is tailored to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Dr. Zhang earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2016, following her undergraduate studies at Duke University, where she graduated Cum Laude with High Distinction in Biology (Cell & Molecular) in 2012. Her postdoctoral training includes completing her residency in General Surgery at the University of Virginia Health System, where she also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery through an NIH T32 Training Grant. She has completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Ohio State University. She has authored 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers, presented at national medical meetings, and received several awards from national medical societies for her research.

Now practicing in Idaho, Dr. Zhang is excited about the opportunities the state provides for outdoor adventures. An avid nature lover, she looks forward to exploring the natural beauty of the region, usually accompanied by her beloved black Labrador retriever. Dr. Zhang chose to join Bingham Healthcare because its values of prioritizing patient well-being and delivering top-tier care aligned perfectly with her own professional philosophy. She is eager to contribute to the community’s health and wellness.

We are pleased to introduce Ryan Killpack, PA-C, certified physician assistant.

As part of a dynamic healthcare team, Ryan is involved in all aspects of patient care. He contributes to his patients’ healthcare by providing them with as much education as possible, allowing them to be a part of the decision-making process. He has clinical experience in emergency medicine, general surgery, family medicine, women’s health, orthopedics, cardiology, and pediatrics. From time to time, he is a surgical first assist in the operating room.

Born and raised in Firth, Idaho, Ryan learned the value of hard work early in life from working at his family’s trucking company. Ryan graduated from Firth High School. He then when on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. Most recently, he traveled to West Virginia where he earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from West Liberty University.

Aside from medicine, Ryan’s other interests include spending time with his family and being outdoors. He also enjoys camping, riding horses, motorbikes, and pretty much any other activity that requires being outside.
